The WinniePaws GuaranteeCommunity Care Fund
WinniePaws · SC & NC Pet Sitting

Pet care coveragethat actuallycovers.

Most platforms offer guarantees designed to sound reassuring — until something goes wrong. We built something different.

Find a sitter near you

“Most pet sitting guarantees require you to prove negligence, exhaust your own renters insurance first, and wait weeks for a decision. We thought that was backwards — so we changed it.”

Side by side

The real difference

The big national pet sitting apps advertise impressive guarantee numbers — but the terms underneath are built to limit what they actually pay out. Here's how WinniePaws compares.

What most people don't know: the average national platform guarantee requires you to prove your sitter was negligent before they'll consider paying a cent — and your own renters or homeowners insurance has to be exhausted first.

Our promise

Three things we actually do

Not a big number in a press release. Three commitments we make to every pet owner — and can back up right now.

01
Sitters we stand behind

Every sitter goes through a personal vetting process — background checked, reviewed, and approved before their first booking. We're local, which means we know our sitters. Your pet isn't matched by an algorithm — they're placed with someone we'd trust with our own.

$250 Community Care Fund

If your pet needs an unexpected vet visit during a booking, we reimburse up to $250 from the Community Care Fund — no negligence finding, no lengthy process. Send us the receipt. That's it.

Paid within 3 business days
03
We pay first

Other platforms require you to file against your own renters or homeowners insurance before they'll step in. We don't touch your personal insurance. If something happens during a booking, we handle it.

Your renters policy stays out of it

The Community Care Fund

Every booking builds a shared safety net.

The fund behind every $250 reimbursement isn't a marketing budget line. It's built by the community — one booking at a time.

How it works

Your booking
protects every pet.

With every booking made through WinniePaws, a portion goes directly into the Community Care Fund — the pool that backs every reimbursement we make.

The more our community grows, the stronger the fund gets. Your booking doesn't just get your pet great care — it helps protect every pet on the platform.

When Greenville books, Spartanburg benefits. When Charlotte grows, Raleigh is more protected. We're all in this together.

The Community Care Fund is a discretionary reimbursement program administered by WinniePaws. It is not an insurance product. Full eligibility criteria are detailed below.

Why we built this

A word from our founder

WinniePaws was built by pet owners who got tired of the same story — big promises, small payouts, and no one local to call.

Todd Gamble, CEO and Co-Founder of WinniePaws
Todd Gamble
CEO & Co-Founder · Easley, SC

“I built WinniePaws because I wanted a platform I could actually trust with Daisy — not one that hands me a 25-page terms document when something goes wrong. The Community Care Fund is the thing I'm most proud of. It's simple, it's honest, and it grows with every single booking our community makes.”

Todd is a software developer and lifelong animal lover based in Easley, SC. After years of dealing with inconsistent national platforms, he teamed up with co-founder Lorcan to build a genuinely local alternative — one where the people running it have pets, live nearby, and answer the phone. When he's not working on WinniePaws, he's out with Daisy, his rescue dog.
